Makita LS1110F Mitre Saw Zero Clearance Insert — Cleaner Cuts, Less Tear-Out
The factory throat plate on the Makita LS1110F leaves a wide gap around the blade, which allows thin materials to flex into the cut and causes tear-out on veneers, laminates, and fine-grained timber. A zero clearance insert replaces the stock plate with a tight-fitting opening that supports the workpiece directly alongside the blade, reducing splintering and improving cut quality on materials that the standard insert handles poorly.
