The factory throat plate on the Festool Kapex KS 120 leaves a wide gap around the blade, which means the workpiece isn't fully supported at the cut line — a real problem when you're running veneers, laminates, or fine-grained timber through the saw. This zero clearance insert replaces the stock plate and closes that gap, giving the material direct support on both sides of the blade. The result is noticeably less tear-out on the back edge and cleaner, more consistent cuts across the board.
