DeWalt DWS780 Mitre Saw Zero Clearance Insert — Cleaner Cuts, Less Tear-Out
The factory throat plate on the DWS780 leaves a wide gap around the blade, which allows timber to flex into the slot and tear out on the underside of the cut. A zero clearance insert closes that gap, supporting the workpiece right up to the blade edge for cleaner, more accurate results — particularly useful when cutting trim, moulding, or any material where finish quality matters.
Fitment
Designed to fit the DeWalt DWS780 mitre saw
Drops into the existing throat plate recess using the factory mounting points
Does not include a pre-cut blade slot — you lower the blade through the insert on your own saw to create a true zero clearance fit. This is intentional: individual saw tolerances mean a pre-cut slot cannot guarantee a perfect fit
